I am married with 2 daughters who ran along with me in a stroller for many years. I love to run because of the freedom of the sport and because of how great it makes me feel.
Jennifer Foster

Running Coach

Six years ago, Jennifer registered in the Learn to Run program as a student. Although she had always been a swimmer, and was a certified swim instructor, Jennifer had never been very athletic. Running, like other weight-bearing sports, had always been considered off-limits for Jennifer, who was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis as a child. Medical research now recognizes regular exercise—including running—as an important part of managing arthritis. Learning proper form and following a program of progressive stress, like the one offered by Movement to Health, was critical to learning to run successfully. Since taking the beginner’s class six years ago, Jennifer has completed several triathlons, and has been teaching other beginners to run for the past two years. “It may sound cliché,” says Jennifer, “but it’s true: if I can learn to run—anyone can!”
